Question for the Guru's of tying
I have delt very little with trout jigs. Now I need to know what is the best color patterns for trout jigs during the months of June thru August. I could probably research this over a week. But one brag to many has got me in a pinch. Help!!!!! The pondhopper is in deep water.

I tied a couple for my brother in law in Pennsylvania that did really well for big browns in a creek riffles.They were a 1/12 oz. nickle plated minnow head with black upper and grey lower tail with kip tail and silver minnow #2 chenille.

thats easy here in WV 4 top colors are
1 Carteruse Yellow- Olive- Olive ( Hornet)
2 Solid Black---- also can put alittle white in the tail (black gnat)
3 Solid Brown
4 Black Head- Grey- Grey (blue dun fly)
These colors produce late into the year here for me here in West Virginia
