Man with a #2 hook them blue gills better be giant ones, LOL! Now I have caught some fair size ones on a #4 regular bend and they did eat it because it got them inside the mouth. A #2 though, that may be a bit hard.

Of course the bass will not have that kind of trouble, but maybe the other kind that means a hook inside his mouth.

I can catch 500 4 1/2 inch bluegills any time that I go,I need a 2 pounder if any bluegills at all,lol.
