    Heard different guys talk about it, but why the loop knot? In terms of visability, it would seem you'd have two lines coming off the lure instead of one, although the knot wouldn't be there. These lures are kinda light, so not sure about the impact on action.

    I do not use a split shot. I use a loop on most lures to allow movement. I will use a Palomar on my drop shot presentation to be sure the hook point rides up.
