    Default Don't go there!

I just tell folks I love the taste of hardhead catfish. They usually laugh, and don't believe me, but blackened hardhead is mighty fine eating!

Then I tell them, like I'm telling you, I really have had blackened hardhead and it's pretty decent, but crappie is my favorite. If yours is walleye, then feel free to love walleye! Do we all have to have a favorite fish? That's why God made a bazillion different kinds!

By the way, I've never tasted walleye, though I've eaten twice my weight in crappie. Do they taste anything like bottlenose dolphin? :D

Tell them they do not know crap until they have had the pie. That usually gets them. Crappies rock! Walleye is good but not as good as a crappie.

I like walleye but to me it kinda tastes like crab meat. Crappie is for sure better in my opinion.

    Default my personal taste

Crappie is better than walleye but yellow perch is by far the best tasting fish known to man. They have a delicate flavor that is unbeatable.

Colder the water the better the fish taste. Perch caught thru the ice create table fare for the gods.

My personal ranking after many years of munching on them .

    1. Yellow perch
    2. Crappie or Bluegill some prefer one over the other I consume these with equal gusto
    3. Walleye , Sauger or Saugeye

All other fish to me are throwbacks with the possible exception of striper. I have yet to eat a striper but would try one before I ever comment on it. Northern pike are tasty but are a pain to clean to me so over the side they go too.:D

My father loved catfish but I never rated them very high. Trout and salmon yeech I don't like oily fish.

All the above is my opinion and only my opinion. If you all don't like them I got others. But they ain't likely to be agreeable either.
