[QUOTE=Len;1064186]I am also trying this head and do like rtark does with the hard as nails.
I like your jigs Len, Good Job!
I like the heads, but not sure they are practical for selling yet. Wait until I post that oval pupil one that is 3/16", LOL! One side looks alright and the other looks like well you know what.

Well I have picked at these a good bit and not a single move at all. I dug at it with my finger nails and nada. I feel good about the Zap gel.

Nice jigs!!!!!!!!!!!
Skip once you get a routine going the eyes will turn out fine.

The easiest way to put the eyes in for me is to use a bodkin. I tried tweezers first and they shot all over the place.
Tried the bodkin one day and been doing them that way ever since. Use the point to lift off of paper. Transfer off point into hole of jig. I then flip bodkin over and use butt of it to seat eye. Then follow up with coating of hard as nails or Loons hard as hull.

I put a drop of super glue in the eye socket, then with tweezers slide the eye
off the paper and place in the socket, with the other end of the tweezers push down on the eye to seat it. Cover with a coat of Hard as Nails and I'm
good to go. I really like the effect the 3D eye gives the lure.

Len, those are kinda shaddy looking. I guess I better do one up and post it.
It ain't nuttin but luck.
Hey Skip try a light coat of hard as nails over it...if you get too much and it makes it look flat instead of 3D, just brush it a little more and it'll soak back up the excess...sold hundreds of them like this for saltwater and never had a complaint yet. Also gives you a nice shine over the eye too.
Edit - Also to get them in the socket just put the piece of paper with the eyes up to the edge of the socket and slide it with your finger right into the hole and press...no need to lift it off the paper or touch it.![]()
Len - you nailed that tie! Awsome! Perfect color.....
