    Junglejim had a good point. It always helps to pre heat the mold. I use a cast iron pot on a hot plate with a ladel. Have a lead pot that bottom pours but have went back to the old lead pot. I lay my mold on the side of the hot plate not on the burner. When the lead is ready the mold will be warm enought to pour right. No loose heads or partical pours. Using a cold mold will cause some problems.

    Guess us old geezers get set in our ways at time.
