The hourglass wrap will prevent the cutting through most of the time.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I certainly am not an expert on how to attach rubber legs . But it seems to me that there is a little tool you can make that will simplify it. If I remember right it involves a thick needle with a big eye. You epoxy or glue mono leader loop to the eye of needle in the form of loop. After glue or whatever is dry you sand gently around loop and mono joint. Let me see if I can find website and I will post it.

I knew I had seen it somewhere. It is supposed to be used for deerhair bugs but it ought to go thru other materials such as used for bodies. You stick rubber leg in loop push needle and connected loop thru. Do not pull on loop itself wait until rubber is sticking out far side and pull gently on it. I would then drop a dab of glue on leg and center it on bug.

Here is another way to add legs that works everytime and is quick.
After you tie on the chenille, take a embroidery needle, thread on a leg,
push it through the chenille (may take a needle nose pliers to push it through)
pull to the desired length and clip off. Before, I used to cuss everytime I tied legs and they were never straight.

Saw someone that used moose hair for legs. Looks good, AZ. Fish in the future on that one.
