Ok, guys I want to thank you all, cause now I have the itch to start tying my own crappie jigs. I have read every post on the topic, and have gathered a lot of great info. But I have one question. I know a lot of you recommend buying a good name brand vise, and I dont disagree with the ideaology. But, I want to buy something that is cheaper and efficient to just test the waters. I have looked at a lot of reviews on the cheaper vises from cabelas and bass pro, but the reviews are so mixed, it is hard to get a clear conclusion. So what I am trying to say is, I am going to buy a cheaper vise to start, bottomline. But I know some cheaper vises are probably superior of others, so any guidance would be much appreciated.
