benfits from a high end vise?

Vise and price is a personal thing and each should get what they feel good about. It is as simple as that. I know that if my Nor didn't do things for me that I can't do on my Renzetti or my Peak, then I would have it now most likely because of the cost, but it does thing you just can't do on a normal vise.

Everything else is just personal choice and as long as each of us is happy with what we tie on then that should be enough.

I got mine and love it.No name on it,but it does rotate,has very strong jaws,has everything that has been mentioned on all the vises,and was under $100.00.Has a very heavy base,and also a C-clamp.High End?Maybe,lol.To me it is.We're talking about a guy that makes his own worm food here.

I have a dynaking voyager 2, it was about 265.00, and it is really nice. the only thing I don't like is the hook grooves they put in the jaws, I wish they would have just checkered the inside surface. but if I was tying on large hooks, then it would be perfect.

all i am saying if you look hard enough you can find the almost brands the vises that are just about the same as the one costing hundreds mores the same goes with metarials rod and reels etc,trust me if i wanted a 300.00 dollar vise i could buy it but if i found out i didnt like to tye i would fill alot worse about 300.00 dollars versus 30.00 dollars

I tie on a lil ole Made in India vise and it does what I need it to. I used to have a DanVise and it worked great. Rotary vises won't make you tie better jigs and flies, they'll just make you tie faster and make tying easier.

A lower end vise is good to start with but over time the jaws will have less holding
power. Higher end vises the jaws are made better and will hold your hooks for as long as you own it.
