    Ya I had talked to him, but my wife had already ordered this one for me.....we will see, I dunno I may sale it and get something else that is more metal, its kind of soured in my mind if it breaks in shippin, how well build is it really....you know.

    Yes,I know exactly what you are speaking of.The only piece of plastic on this one is the grommet inside the rotary,a sleeve of sorts.You'll like it when it gets there.These things are not to sturdy all taken apart in a box.With people just throwing them around,Ya know?

    The Dan isn't a bad vise, but is composite lots of folks use and like em fine.

    Man the box must have been in terrible shape. Mine was packed in 2 boxes. So far OK. If I had any complaint, the clamp loosens up sometimes but a piece of rubber on the underside will give it something to grip to. If I do this a while I will get a better vise and this one will go on Ebay. I really like the looks of the Norvise myself.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.

    we started out with the Thompson and used it for many years and then I switched over to regal number one .question for you guys do they still make a regal.
