I never use a white base with powder paints, even the flourescents.
I don't do glow colors. However when I use to paint with vinyl paint I always
used a white base except for black. I feel the lifetime of a jig is 10-20 fish
or less if brush or logs are around so for the 15 or 20 cents it costs to make I don't worry about it. A friend and mentor told me a long time if I wasn't losing jigs I was fishing in the wrong area and I still believe that. They don't call it structure for no reason!!

I only use it with powder paint when using white pearl on top. The color is a lot deeper.
