    Default Sickle hooks?

do sickle hooks straighten out like a light wire hook when hung up on brush? is the sickle hook the way to go or should i just keep tying with light wire? I'm interested in the best of both good hook ups with fish and not losing to many jigs to the brush piles? thanks again!

I believe the sickle hook is quite a bit stronger than light wire and you will prolly break your line before the hook straightens.

The wider gap of the sickle will catch you more fish and trees. They are harder to straighten.I use light line and lose most of them when I hang up.

Talking to some of the guys on TU they bend them out and back to loosen them up a little and their recovery rate is better if they do snag up.
