    i have done this before but even baking them to cure them they will still chip off pretty quick

    yeah tried that before, don't know why it chips on the keys but not so much on jigs. The best thing I've found for keys is Plastic Dip like they use on tools. I've got a few buddies that use it on jigs that fish on the rock jetties guess it holds up better than the powder.

    Maybe a dip in muriatic acid before the coating will give it a better bite?

    Just some info, but anodizing is usually only done on aluminum. There are processes for titanium, zinc and magnesium but it can not be used for iron or carbon steel because these metals exfoliate when oxidized. So unless those keys are made from aluminum, anodizing won't work.

    I think I will put some Devcon 2 part epoxy on one of them to see how they hold up over time.
