    Default First time tying jigs

This is my first attempt at tying jigs. Skeetbum and I fish together and he got me interested. Don't make too much fun at them. Looking forward to making some interesting jigs.

Not bad at all! Those will catch some fish.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Not bad at all! One thing I would say to improve them is make all the marabou tail like the pink one. Don't cut the ends off and when you get the marabou ready to tie in cut the stem end off in place of the other ends to make it the length you want.

One other thing that will help is to pull off the feathers off the stem before you tie them in. Just pull them off and make a little stack until you have as much as you want and pinch them together and cut off the end you pulled off the stem and they will give you more action.

Also don't worry about how they look now when you just start, we all had our first that didn't look like they do now.

They look lots better here than on my phone. Good job. And I'm with Skip. the pink one looks real good. I personally would have put a bit more flash in the black one, but it probably wouldn't catch any more fish.
