Attica, yup, I gave it a heavy coating of FP. Otherwise, that bucktail fiber would come off after the first fish

Very buggy looking!I like the idea using the bucktail for the ribbing, never heard that before. Opens up a whole lot of colors to play with.
Did you coat the bodies with FP or hard head or something? Thanks for the link too... more patterns to add to my favs. :D

Was kinda thinking the same thing, thanks! I'm gonna make some of those up for trout also, would be able to cast it on my FR with a 1/80 or 1/100 head and use it with spinning gear also.
Wish I could paint over peacock herl bodies to make it hold up better, but don't think it would look quite the same after that! lol Need to try the wire ribbing stuff.
absoLUTEly and always use wire ribbing on peacock herl. And when you wrap the wire, don't wrap it the same way- counter wrap it back over the herl. That will make it even stronger

That's why I titled this post "hey you micro-jiggers," because if you tie them on a 1/80 or 1/100 you can tie them smaller- because those 1/64 are some big dang mosquitos! And if they weigh less they will have an extremely slow sink, and look more like a natural mosquito

The top one looks very similar to a Cap Spider -- should be a killer on gills.
Those look like they will catch a mess of fish. Nice job.
