I was in your position about a month ago as I was just getting started in jig tying. I researched and researched on vises and asked alot of guys on this forum their thoughts. Skiptomylu was a BIG help to me with everything and he recommended a couple of good quality vises and I went with the Peak Rotary vise. Wow! What a sweet vise. It is incredible and I absolutely love it and am extremely happy I went with that vise. I also looked at the Danvise but didn't want all of the plastic parts that come on it. That is just my thoughts on the Danvise however as you know there are alot of people on this forum that love their Danvise so I'm not bashing the Danvise by any means, but for me I thought that the Peak was alot better (it is more money however). The Peak vise is also made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty. Just my thoughts on it and if you decide to go with the Peak, I would recommend going through skiptomylu as he sells them now.
