Been doing alot of fly fishing for SMB & LMB so I have been finding some new flies to play with. I started to think if I could use this with spinning tackle. Top one is my fly (my edited version of Arkansas Bucktail) and others are attempts at putting it on a jig head....
Middle left is on a 1/8oz. & other 2 are 1/64oz. on long hooks. It is supposed to mimic a shad from the profile... has a tall body, but is thin with the bucktail only coming out top and bottom. This would also match a baby bluegill...I am getting in some new supplies this week and want to put this together with black/gray buck tail to match the shad color better. May even work on fall walleye as the shad school up and die off? Will see...
Here is the link to the video with the fly if anyone is interested... you need to see the video if you want tying insturctions... :o lol - The Arkansas Bucktail - It's near the bottom of the page.
