    Default Peak Vise?

Does anyone here have a Peak? If so pleas let me know what you think as I am taking Peak on as a dealer, but would love to hear a little more about them from someone that uses them. I have not heard any bad info on them and most everything I read says they are very good product.

    Opinions please?

Thanks, I just wanted to know what you think of it and it's quality. I believe it to be very good, but have never put my hands on one yet and soon will and kind of want to know what to expect. I think maybe I will get the SS set screws in place of the black nylon and do you have that "D" arm?

You said you don't tie commercial and would that make any difference? I am not sure what you mean by that; so is there something you wouldn't like if you did?

I would appreciate any info you can give.

    Thank you,

I had one when I fly fished and wish I had it back. Great craftsmanship and solid materials. I've never known anyone that had one and wasn't happy with it.

Skip, When I said I don't tie commercial, I only ment that I don't use it all day every day but really doubt it would make a difference.
Last year I was laid up with a broken ankle and ordered lots of accessories for it . I have the light and magnifier. I was tying on a board accross the arms of the recliner in a low light area and needed the light. My fly tying supplier said there is no use in ordering the fancy set screw and after a couple years of using the vise I agree. This vise functions just fine as it comes. It is a joy to use. Got some of them in today and I will say I am pleasingly surprised even though I had head how good the quality is and seeing them in my hand, I really like them a lot. What a great tool!

Thanks for the input guys and I can see for my self now and I can feel really good about selling a great product like this.

I've had mine a while now Skip and I love it. It is very well made and easy to use. I do wish they would include the little 90 degree handle with the kits as a standard item. It is easy to set up and has a lot of room in the clamp to fit a variety of table thicknesses. I think it will be with me for a long while. I am thinking about getting the midge jaws for it to make working with those 1/100 oz jigs and # 12 hooks a little easier. Anyway just my 2 cents worth..........brim

Thanks brim, glad to hear some good info from one that uses the vise. I got my first in hand look yesterday and was really impressed with it.
