I agree it's a bit over blown and people have told they like some jigs they bought from someone on every board this site has. I see just bunches of how great Grizzly Jigs is and that was on the main board for weeks and weeks.

Members have a right to express them selves and that is all I see this as being. It is just a community that is about fishing and that would always lead to one saying what they like and some asking what others like. I doubt that I get any orders from something like that unless it is a close friend of the person that made the post.

I just don't think many orders come from a post like that, but I do think orders come from a picture posted and that I am positive about. Way more orders come from a picture than someone making a post about some jigs they got. I know this from experience.

I have got on some that I felt were abusing the posting of pictures and other type things, but I don't think I have ever commented about one person talking about the jigs they bought.

Skip, I agree and dissagree. This is a direct as a result of a sale. It was very much innappropriate. Had this comment been as a result of a picture posted and not a jig that was sold to him I might have thought different. No there was no advertising directly. BUT, you do sell jigs, and when someone brags about one that you sold him that is in a way advertising. Like when Tiger woods wears nike shirts. If all this is kept to a minimum there would be no complaints. And there is advertising in every post that you make due to the link of your web site. I think that anything related to your sales does not belong in a jig tying/making forum. Yes, I do know that you are a sponsor. I do not have any problems with it or any posts that you do so don't get me wrong. I keep in mind the countless newbie tiers that you are the first to help out. That makes a huge difference in my eyes.
There are some that seem to lately be indirectly selling items of theirs or their buddies.
Please no one say then don't read the topic if I don't want to see this. When a read a topic that states "this is a great lure" then thinking I am going to learn something I find out that this guy is showing a lure that he got from his buddies shop and posting a link. At times it is a little aggrevating.
Please don't take it personally skip, this was not meant toward you. Being a moderator and a jig salesman you will be caught up in this every time. Everyone has a right to his opinion, and it is just that - opinion.

I am not taking anything personally, but I can tell you that a post with a picture of a jig has way more power than a post like this as far as orders. This I know and am not guessing about.

If someone made a post like this and included pictures and links that is getting on a different side of this. That is totally different.
