    Thanks for all the info. With the nail polish you have more color options without spending a lot of $$$. I tried the powder paint but painting the heads with paint is sort of therapeutic, calms me down after a hard days work.

    ditto on the hard as nails, I bought the cheaper brand and the Hard as Nails a few days ago, the cheaper stuff has a longer lasting smell for sure.

    The smell from FP is the VOCs (volatile organic compounds) evaporating. The FP is fully cured once all the VOCs are gone – no smell.

    Don't give up on the PP - you can do stuff with PP that you can't do with FP.

    If ya use a good quality polish, there is no problem at all with smell, but most polish is not opaque enough to get good coverage, unless using black.

    What is a good brand of polish? My wife is laughing, me discussing fingernail polish.

    hey dvuks my wife is a cosmotologist and she says the best fingernail polish is o.p.i.. it dries harder and last longer on fingernails of course. oh and its like 5 bucks a bottle
