when you make a new wrap of chenille, slightly overlap the previous wrap. That will make it good and tight. A lot of times, I make 2 or 3 layers of chenille to build up the body.

Try twisting the chenille before you wrap it. Tie the end in like normal, but spin the chenille between your thumb and pointer before you start to wrap. This helps me when I have some that has a flat side to it, just spreads everything out a little.
