    Default Chenile on jigs

Why am I having such a hard time getting chenile to wind on evenly. Have watched all videos I can find and still looks bunchy and uneven.

Rayon chenille does that...I hate the stuff. Buy nylon whenever you can.

Also while wrapping use good pressure and hold the tag end back slightly towards where you've already wrapped, it'll make the wraps closer and look better.

when you make a new wrap of chenille, slightly overlap the previous wrap. That will make it good and tight. A lot of times, I make 2 or 3 layers of chenille to build up the body.

    "You don't know nothin'."

Try twisting the chenille before you wrap it. Tie the end in like normal, but spin the chenille between your thumb and pointer before you start to wrap. This helps me when I have some that has a flat side to it, just spreads everything out a little.

If you can't get it to go, post a pict of your problem on here, may help to actually see what your talking about. Good Luck!

What kind of chenille are you using? Make sure you don't use the stuff from craft stores. It's not the same. Use a good quality crush resistant chenille made for lure making.
