    Have any of you guys ever tried this pattern on a jig head to catch crappie?

    All Chart, can't hurt to give it a try. Don't see why it wouldn't catch a few at least..... But you never know, may be the ticket to your ticket.

    yes I have put it on a 1/32 jighead painted chartruese to match the chenille, and fished it with a flyrod. once the jig sinks and starts pulling the fly line down, strip the line a few inches at a time with pauses. If the fly line makes a little jump, or rather tic, then set the hook. It has been good in ponds especially.

    ive been tying these for about 2yrs now on trout. only the tail on mine are a bit longer then i just trim them down like my crappie jigs. A white head and orange body has produced alot for me
