Was watching a tank demo of a bass jig... BLACK ANGEL JIGS
And recall seeing a jig tied this way, with a few longer strands. Wonder in there's anything to this idea??

Basic football head jig, the skirt some will say longer some will say shorter and a trailer. Been around for a long time. make them even smaller and you have panfish sized.

Not sure but think he is talking about the little trailer pieces of skirt material that are longer than the rest of the skirt. I can remember seeing someone post some crappie jigs with 2 pieces of flash that were twice the length as the tail.

I've thought of trying this before, but never have for some reason. Had the thought of using red flashabou to make it look like a blood trail maybe.

I ty a lot of My jig's like that.

I tie a lot of my crappie jigs with 2 or 3 strands of gold or silver flashabou
tinsel sticking further out than the tail. Sometimes use colored flashabou
as well. Gives a plain looking jig some flash!
