I use them a lot and the only thing you need watch for if one is a bit sprung. You can tell this by it's easy to put a jig on and off. If you use one like that is can give that fish his freedom. Had it happen one time and actually had a leader snapped in it and then at the end a jig with minnow hook above the jig. Anyway the crappie was a really nice one and he jumped when I got him to the surface and the entire rig came off leaving me just the sprung snap, LOL!
Just make sure they are tight when putting jigs or what ever on and off.
I do like them a lot.
