Sorry don't know what that is as I assume it's not a real pimple of some Swedish guy, LOL!

I used alot of them when I lived in the mid-west for Icefishing for Walleye. I do use them late August and early September for crappies Here in the South.

I know of no one who makes them but Bay de Nor. There are several other lures out there that are immatation of the Swedish Pimple. But myself I buy the original. It works so well why go buy a cheap immatation.

Also look at the Kastmaster another good lure. I use a silver 2 inch one with a blue permate magic marker strip down one side.

Im a 100% with you there. I'm just new to making some jigs and thought it would be cool to make and catch fish on. I'm not looking to buy. That would be dumb because you can't beat the best. Have you seen the you tube video? Look it up. It's pretty cool. The owner who is like 80 years old walks you through the plant.

Skip they don't look like much but do catch fish. There are times of the year as I have mentioned that they are very effective.

Zoeconner Know what you mean but maybe you should post your question over in the lure making forum. Neat video thanks for sending the link. These are the type of old boys that I got to learn the fly tying from back in the mid-west. Hard as nails and you had to be serious or they would kick your butt and send you on your way. I was too stuborn to quit and now glad I was. Great people was just lucky I grew up where and when I did.

One of the most classic of all ice fishing baits. A #2 or #3 with a 3 inch dropper line of 4lb fluoro, tipped with spikes or waxies makes a killer whitefish and cisco jigging bait!!

There's been some knock-offs made, and to stay legal slight changes made. One of these is the jig-a-whooper, Lure parts online has a very similar lead blank as does Hagans. I purchase them in bulk from Hagans and paint them up, as do some others. Excellent action and they work excellent 2/3's of the year here in KS. It's how I get my gas money for fishing, I sold over 1500 ice fishing this past year. If you buy 100 and paint them yourself, you'll have an excellent lure for the price of a store-bought jig. That's right, very inexpensive and super appealing for fish and angler. If you need some help pm me and I'll get you going.
