Got the jigs you sent i had to use some of them on the ones I sent you that is how low I was on them. I got some different leggs I am putting on them and I think these leggs will be the ones that I stick with they tie up much tighter than the ones I did use, but they looked good as well. Dilemma's that is really getting to become a problem in this jig tying it is kind of like should I or shouldnt I, but it makes it fun also.

I am getting the itch to tie some Gill flies up on regular fly hooks and add some wire or lead wrap on the hook itself for the added weight. I want to try this so I can get them to sink in the opposite manner of the jig bottom first instead of head first. Will probably have to fish them under a float or fly rod for they will be a bit lighter or i would think they would be.
I will send you a few to try out have to check out ebay for some hooks dont want a whole lot of hooks at first just want to try it out first and see how they work. If they work anywhere close to what I think they will should be a real killer on them Gills and Perch especially in the fall.
I used the same jig 2 days caught plenty of gills and the legs still look good so far so good. But we all know that nothing last forever or we would'nt have to tie all the time

That is good news for I wasnt to sure how the legg material would hold up, but it definitly sounds pretty good right now. See what I mean dilemmas now I dont know whether to stick with the old leggs or possibly switch to the new leggs i have now![]()
:D:D:D No JJ quite pulling my legg like that, I mean it would be a fair trade catching fish, if the jig lasted through a few hundred fish than I would think it held pretty good. Considering the Gill is probably one of the hardest hitting fish and most destructive on lures that I catch with the exception of the occasional pike or musky.
But give me a days warning if you catch that many I would have to go and get a bigger freezer to put them in :D:D
