Weaving/crocheting them isn't hard, is just time consuming. The only hard part is making a semi flat base on the hook to get the crochet to look right. If I could find a jig hook that has a flat roundish collar on it 3/4 the way down the shank it would make things a lot easier.

Got a couple ideas to try but still trying to find that perfect addition to make the crochet look good and save a lot of time and materials.
