OK, the box will be going out today. Here's what I kept:

Here's what I sent:

When the box came on Saturday, I thought it was a large flat rate box so I didn't look closely at the mailing label. Turns out it was not. It's a large priority mailing box, which looks extremely similar but is charged by weight. I went through the box on Monday, repacked everything and bought postage through the USPS web site. When I went to pull the old labels off so I could put the new one on, I saw the postage cost and realized my mistake.

After weighing the box, I found the mailing cost would be approximately $33 for priority, $25 for parcel post. I was not a happy camper. I appreciate that everyone is so generous, but $25+ to mail the swap box is absolutely ridiculous. I went to the post office yesterday, got a large flat rate box and managed to make everything fit by removing the outer bag, pulling out the bag of yarn in the above pic and a large pack of loose hooks and practically sitting on the stuff to mash everything down. I will mail the yarn and hooks separately.

I would suggest in the future we limit the size to the large FR box.
