the cureing process turns the paint into an epoxy and makes the finish extreamly durable. A un cured jig is tough but if you paint em and stick a few in a plastic fishing tray after a while the paint starts coming off the jigs and it will look like you took some powder paint and kinda sprinkled in with the jigs along with some paint chips/specks i use to not cure mine and thats what happen to mine so i cure all of my jigs in a little toast oven now

I did some earlier as a test. But I dont have a toaster oven so I used conventional. I tried 300 degrees for 30 mins. 1 turned out good, the other 4 dripped, but I hung them with wire, so the drips r on the bottom of the jig. I read all the past articles, and I know it means I probably had too much paint on them. So until I make a fluid bed, I dont know if I am gonna cure or not. I would like to, I just dont know if I have the patience. Im gonna try another test run with some I think I did a better job painting, and see how that turns out.

True, I don't cure my jigs. However after tieing off the jig I coat it with hard as nails to protect the eyes. I have never had a jig chip from shipping, fishing or storing them and some are three-four years old. During a season of fishing the wife and I will go through 2-3 hundred jigs, so most of the jigs are new each year. We fish a lot of rocky areas for smallies and still the jigs don't chip. Works for me!!

skypilot and fly buster i have recived your jigs they will be hanging on my wall untill all jig are recived and then they will be ship back out

i know someof yall have allready sent your jigs in to me and i have just finished mine up about 10 mins ago and so how are the rest of yall coming along? so far the ones that have sent there jigs in there jigs look really good and cant wait to try them out in my new boat i just bought monday

I have all of them painted and cured, or coated with hard as nails. I will probablt tie at least half tonight, and might finish 2morrow. I will try to have them in the mail friday, but no promises. No matter, they will be sent soon.

Jigs went in the mail Friday afternoon. Lady at the post office said it would be 2 business days, and you would have them. It took me a little longer than I wanted, but my vise kind of took a crap on me. So now it has a new accesory, a pair of vise grips. LOL Oh well, I mightpick up a new vise today.
