Bill, I never meant your wuzzy wasn't fuzzy... just that it wasn't "all" that fuzzy. Get some more beer and we'll get it straightened out. :D Trout fisherman pansies, bahhh, just the orvis boys are. Wanna go chase some steelies in the V. this weekend?

Anyway - Got my jigs tied up - All bagged and tagged just before they crawled away. Gotta stop doing these swaps so I can replenish my box before spring ever decides to spring. Working up a goodie bag and will hopefully be in the mail by Thurs.

Attica - panfishermen , walleye guys and bass aka green carp fishermen either do one or all of the following
    1. Drink coffee in quarts
    2. make sandwiches that would make Dagwood blush
    3. Scratch , chew . f**t and generally are obnoxious ( act like men )
    4. Fish in overpowered boats with enough electronics in it that NASA is jealous of
    5. Fish in rain/ thunderstorms /on ice/ snow storms/downpours/ etc etc etc
    6. Only stop talking fishing when extremely pretty woman walks by.

    Troutfishermen on the otherhand
    1. Drink latte if coffee is consumed it is some kind of desert coffee.
    2. Rarely stop talking when pretty women walk by ( they spend lots of time in cold water up to thier chest ) don't take Sherlock Holmes to figger this out.
    3. Only fish during certain times when they can " match the hatch " mooch the hootch " or something like that.
    4. Wade in water chest deep to cast in water ankle deep to catch a six inch fish on a 950.00 hand built custom fly rod. And a reel that cost more than my first car.
    5. Eat quiche for lunch AND supper
    6. Talk endlessly on and on about the virtues of good bamboo.

    I rest my Case.

Hahaha... never looked at it that way, may be the reason I kinda forget all about the wife (and the world around me) when out wading the river for smallmouth. :D Wonder if there are any "long term" effects from that....

Njones - Jigs are on their way to Kansas - went out Thursday noon - hope you enjoy! Thanks for running the swap! I looked up your area on Yahoo Maps when I was getting ready to send out, man are you surrounded by little lakes!

All jigs look great realy like what I'm seeing, poor mr. gills are in for it this year.
AtticaFish, the apartment (Macarthur Lake Apartments) owns their own lake. And the coolest thing is there's only about 6 guys that fish it regular. Lots of big gills and tons of 8-10inch black crappie. There's lots of sand pits around here, but most are private. But there are 5 public small lakes/ large ponds within a few minutes of me that have good gill/crappie fishing.

Man, those are buggy alright! If that thing landed on my leg I'd swat at it!
Even insect repellant wouldn't kill that critter:D What did you use for the body?

It is raffia from the craft store. Same idea as a shell back fly, you can use scud backs, pheasent tail or even cut plastic bags... been making a few craws. I palmered hackle first then laid the raffia over that to the head. I also ran a small piece of yellow yarn down the center to try to make it look like bug wing case, but the yellow disappears when it gets wet. Oh well, it got me a few bites thru the ice couple days ago.
