Probably get her involved soon. 19 month old granddaughter loves sitting at my desk playing with feathers, chenille,,,everything but the jigheads. She calls them "owies".She has no fear of hooks, but maybe in a couple years she'll be tying, too.
The fly swap on FAOL said to post up if more interested and they would start another swap for the kiddo's. I know GF's daughter ties on occasion as well. I'm not sure if you are you guys are on FAOL or not tho. Like I said, I am helping out with holding materials and stuff, but she is having a good time so that's all that matters! Yeah... the whole "no fear" of hooks had me worried until she got pricked one time. You should see how she handles them now! LMAO!!!!! She learned like I did.

AtticaFish and JungleJim I think it is great that you guys work with the kids on fishing and tying jigs. I hope in the future I get my 20 month and 2 month old grandsons involved in fishing also! Looking forward to it!!

Snake River - Will put you in this big ol' mess. Having trouble editing my orig. post but will put you on the list when I can. This looks like it is turning out pretty good, will be getting some jigs from a few people that I haven't got them from before.

Len - Congrats on the little ones, looks like big brother will do his share helping out.

19 month old granddaughter,Sophia paid me a visit this morning.Played with some feathers, got bored and snatched a jig out of my hand, sticking herself and actually drawing blood. She didn't cry, said "owie bite me".Now she has a boo boo to show everyone. It defintely got her attention.

its gonna look like the color of a shad for sure"tough making the shape unless real small and round like a gray chenille wrap,w/a lil' thin angel hair,or tinsel to booty...you could call it the "Hootie Tootie"!was what we called my little girl when she was still in Diapers.Nothing like the hootie tootie shuffle 4 a laugh!...:rolleyes:toot"step,toot"step,toot"step" :D :D :D

I've got 25 of em tied ready to go, just waiting to see how many we wind up with. It kinda looks like a shad, kinda a colorful shad, oh wait it's bleeding,
kinda of a colorfulful bleeding shad sort of. Well, you'll see, then you tell me!
I could say it's only native to Lake Wisconsin, but I won't!
