Good morning CrappieKiller3 and all the other great members for the great welcome and the invitation to join in your panfish jig swap. This is my first time in a jig swap and I really excited to get going on things. I got my supplies ready and just got home from graveyard shift and Im ready to start tying some up.

Its a long drive to the nearest panfishing but Im getting geared up. We got 4+ inches of snow sunday night and its still on the ground. Got off work today at 8am and it was only 20degs and the ponds and river by my house is starting to get some ice around the edges already.

    Thanks and happy tieing Perch

4 inches of snow? I'm not ready forthat yet (never am!) I used to love to
ice fish maybe even more than on the water, but age has taken it's toll and I can't handle it any more....BUMMER! Instead in the winter I build rods, tie jigs, make spinnerbaits and buzz baits and mold jigs. and keep house
Wifey still works so I'm Mr. Mom! Getting pretty good at it I think. The wife
may have a different opinion! Take care!!

Hey CR3 Come on up I have a 4 wheeler ATV with an ice shack, heater, fish finder and a power ice auger. This all equals no sweating, just laughing and hookin fish.

LRB I bet we could send you some snow if you really want it or some rain. It was a great water year. Lakes are all topped out and some havent been this high quite a few years. IF I send you some snow that will cost you all at least a dozen jigs each LOL

This is the snow I was telling you about this was on monday morning

As soon as I start tying jigs...I'll take you up on the offer...I am orginally from the north..and would like more than two weeks of winter...:D
I am going to head to Wyoming and Montana next year..I will need to pick your brain for what color flies to tie, for flyfishing ...also building myself a 4/5 wgt. flyrod for my trip..

Man, now that's the way to ice fish!! I guess I could still do it if I had your setup, however if I get anymore (and I mean anymore!) fishing stuff I'll have
to move out of the house and use it for storage:D I sold my ice stuff three
years ago. I did have a portable ice shack I built. We're so spoiled here.....
we can drive to many lakes and walk 100 feet to good fishing. I still have
over 45 ice rods I built.....should sell em I guess.

    Default Tiers from everywhere!

Well gang, we've got 13 tiers from 11 different states! That ought to
give us a wide collection of jigs. Texas is ahead with three tiers.
Now I know there are lots of tiers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma
and heading north...Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia
Come on now...stand tall and represent your state, lets see how many states
we can wind up with!! I'm thinking of offering something that everyone would be eligible for......My wife would pick the name of a tier out of a hat with everyone's name in. I won't tell ya what it is yet except it's well worth being in the swap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I guess since I missed out on the last one I will take my chance at this one. I'll give that 1/100 oz jig a shot and see what comes off the vise. I know ole Doc Crappie will use it anyway.
You see Flat sometimes it pays to be half asleep at the wheel. Hope ya'll like crickets...the brim around here been eatin some of mine pretty good. So there's your hint....lol...brim
