Had the very same thing happen to me day before yesterday"when I sent JJJ his pkg.one office near me quoted one price and that i needed to use my debt card because i was buyin stamps as well ,and was told cant use credit card for buying stamps anymore. I told them i was only authorized to use the credit card as it was wify's"card... I take it next day same way ,different post office and "By god! if they didn't tell me another price w a difference of $1.50"and I was allowed to use the debit card for buying the STAMPS"!!!OMG!Its killing me guy's" sorry".I'm done ok!?LOL So wife called the main branch Headquarters in Easton Md. asked to speak w/ the post master"He told us its not the first time its happen and probably wont be the last time.They also try to keep you away from the FLAT RATE SHIPS ANYWHERE FOR THE SAME PRICE BOXES BY "NOT PUTTING THEM OUT FOR YOU"! THEY FIGURE ,"OUT OF SIGHT", "OUT OF MIND..."and some places w/ tell you their out of them ,and its explained to them by their superiors no less Just like its explained in our other wonderful local Gov. agencies like the ones that swear to all that's holy that they have "NO" SUCH THING AS A QUOTA TO MAINTAIN" by writing so many speeding tickets ,and such every month"You think the postal workers aren't hearing the same crudola? Their told to do the same because competition like Fed ex ,and UPS have them between a rock and a hard place"they used to lead the pack til the pac caught up by not having to play by the same rules in a lot of way's.SAD AIN'T IT"!That they cant just come out and say "Ahh",Dah"Mr. zippy says we have to raise the stamp to over a dollar folks".Thank our last President for this kind of stupidity!

For you guys that ship a lot of packages. Just some FYI if you set up an account on USPS.com you can order all the free priority and flat rate boxes you want and they ship them directly to your house for free. Takes about a week and half but it's worth it if you ship a lot or just don't want to hassle with hoping your local post office has a variety of priority boxes. When I use to sell aquarium plants online that was the only way to go. I am thinking about ordering some just to have on hand again. It's easy and I always end up paying priority anyways so might as well pack it up in a free box instead.

Hope this helps some of you guys out there.

If your post office has one, use an automated postage machine. My post office (Eagle Creek, IN) has one and it eliminates any of the opinions presented by postal clerks.

The only drawback I've seen to it is that you have to make a minimum $1.00 postage purchase. When my postage is less than a dollar, I usually buy a book of Forever Stamps from the machine.

You can buy postage for packages, large shipping envelopes, plus common business and letter envelopes.

It presents you with a variety of postage rate options and supplies approximate arrival periods. Insurance is available as well. You must provide a credit card in order to use the machine.

I really like them and use them frequently.

Hopefully we won't have any issues getting the jigs mailed back out to everyone. If some of you are short on postage it shouldn't be a big difference. I'll take up the slack since I like you guys:p

got home today and guess what was waiting for me...3 more sets of jigs--with gifts for ol johnny. Flatfish, ifish, and JJJ i got em' today. Great job fellas...and thanks for the goodies!!!!

gosh i mailed my jigs out last monday i though thtye would have been there by now . ole johnny boy hasen't posted yet tonight so maybe they came today ..

if they havent made it by the 8th let me know and i will get someothers on the way

gosh i hate the post office no wonder people go postal lol lol lol.
