I'm an Iowa native, moved to Tn. almost eight years ago. When in Iowa the nearest lake of any size was almost two hundred miles away so spent most of my days off on the Mighty Miss. Lots of crappie but not much on size. Wife and I are heading to lake Washington in Mississippi on 2/12. Been hearing about all them big slabs down there so we finally decided to make the trip.
Goog luck Fishawk, next day off Feb 26. Hopefully the river is open after our little snow. Ramps are froze again. Hey ZERO tonite, bet you dont miss that much. Tell the wife hi.
Hey, Iowan here, i want spring weather now, and want crappie now![]()
It has been a messed up winter! I also plan on a trip to MS and will let you all know how it goes. But crappie fishing is a crap shoot trying get that special time they are on the banks.
We're leaving Sunday night for Grenada. Will fish monday-friday. Sounds like it's going to be high water and tough fishing
It dont matter if its high or tough fishing, youre not in Iowa waiting to fish, enjoy my friend.
I just came on board today. Looks like a good site. I am from sw Iowa near Glenwood. Farm ponds mostly but have caught crappie in many states. Will be in Missouri and Texas catching crappie this year and probably Nebraska and south Dakota. Traveling for my job allows for this sometimes.
