We fished in the morning July 5-7 and caught several crappie. A lot of small ones but several over 3/4 lb. The biggest 1 lb 11 oz. It was too hot to stay on the water long.![]()

That is a good one.
very nice fish, gotta like that for spending time on the water when its that hot. i'm heading down there thursday do you have any advice depths or tactics ? thanks in advance
I had better luck fishing 10' deep in 16' of water on the north side of the lake. Walleye are biting on flats near the dam.

I fished Crappie cove when I caught the 1 lb 11oz fish, along the edge of it. I didn't catch anything but small ones in the cove.

Caught several hundred fish but most were small. Spent most my time slow trolling double minnow rigs out from mouths of coves but did catch several nice fish in the coves themselves but those coves were loaded with shad so im sure the crappies followed them in. Just couldnt stay with the goodones. i just hope when these small ones reach good size thay are still this easy to catch! lol
