Thread: Miss. river

Went over to prairie du chein area wed. Caught a few walleye and pearch near the dam. Can't wait till them crappie start bittn.

Pool 17- Crappies are feeding in shallow water, mud bottom bays just off the channel. We got on them with minnows, Chartuse ,1 1/2 twister on 1/32nd oz. and same jig w/ red white BP Squirmin Squirts tubes. 1 to 1 1/2 ft. deep over 2 to 3' of water. No pigs, but largest at 13".Good, plump, healthy fish. took some sorting to limit. Hope this helps a little. Mike
