Was at Rathbun on Monday. Very high water, I did catch 20 crappie in a little over 4 hours. Most were around 10 inches with a couple 12s. I pushed double minnow rigs with 3/8 ounce weights about 4-7 feet. FOW ranged from 10-16. DId have some luck with pumkin and chartruese 3" soft plastics on a 1/8 jig head. Find the old shore line and work it, that was where I was finding the fish. I normally can find them shallow, but moving back from the bank a few yards was the ticket. Remember to sharpen or replace those old hooks, missed several before I changed them out. Bridgeview, Honey Creek and the main marina have Hig water docks, be careful around the points, there are all new obstacles in the water now. Still good fishing though.

    Good Luck

Fished Rathbun today. caught well over hundred fish although only 10 of them were over 1 inches with 13 1/2 being the largest.Fish as far back up the creek arms for cleaner water.Fished small dead willows 6 feet down over 8 to 15 fow.Used palstic early but swithed to palin minnow after a throw from the cast net exposed thousands of 2 1/2 to 3 inch shad. Things are looking up even though the lake is up. Nice thing was I never saw another boat all day long.PJ

Caught over 100 on friday 17 over 10 and two 14 1/2 fish. most at 8to12 ft in 15ft but figured out late that some big fish were about a foot off bottom. I only seen a couple of boats myself and they were trolling.
