There is only 1 gate that accepts truck traffic and that is in the west side off Hwy 231 at the Burns City gate. I am on the SE side of Crane couple miles off Hwy 450 between 15 miles from Bedford and 15 miles from Shoals, IN in the boonies within 1/4 mile of Crane fence. This base was established in 1942 in a pretty obscure part of SW Indiana that covers about 65,000 acres of rugged hills and woods. We are seeing more truck traffic lost by their gps programs on this side of the base as time progresses. My new Garmin hand held gps will pickup about 15-18 US satellites along with an average of 12 Russian gps satellites as far as accuracy. Your phones, iPads, and other travel programs operate off cell towers. Way way not as acurate as satellite triangulation. I am about 18-20 miles as the crow flys clear across the base from Burns City gate.

Monroe, hardy, cataract or Brookville tomorrow and why? Looking to put the boy on some fish...would love to stumble upon a walleye or two but not looking good for 2021.
Visited cat. Fought for 5 nice fish and just 2 smaller ones. Had to slow it way down jigging with a vibe type blade bait. Managed 2 shad too....dang those stink. Back at it next year.
