Got out Tues and Weds this week before the big storms were supposed to hit. Found things pretty much still the same. Surface temps 45-47 deg., and crappie still sitting deep in their wintering areas. Picked up about 60 on Tues. and another 35-40 on Wed. On Wed., I spent time looking around at new areas, including some shallower stuff, but it just wasn't happening - a fish or two here and there. Stopped at a deep spot on the way in and whacked then for about 30 mins straight.
No telling what will happen now with all this rain. Rivers are flooding big time after 1.75"-2.0" in my area here in central IN. That means the reservoirs will soon follow, esp. Cataract which will surely blow up and take out the ramps. Everything else will be muddy as heck. Last March a good heavy rain ended up moving all the deep fish as they started scattering and headed shallow. No telling this time. Might be a while before the mud settles, and before the next report - lol.
