I just noticed that you are from New Harmony, IN. How long does it take you to get to Bluegrass from there? 30 mins? 45 mins? or 1 hour?

Do you ever fish weekdays or just on weekends. Weekends are packed on a good day with nice weather.

Is the ramp full of algae or has the State kept it clean and free of algae? That always bothers me. I've seen people slip, fall and cut themselves badly on the trailer when the ramp was slippery with algae growing on it. Lynnville Park's lake ramp was like that too only worse. It was like Wet Ice on a slope and I saw many of people slip and fall and break bones on that ramp.

The North Ramp on Bluegrass Pit has grooves in the concrete that help a bit. But the parking lot at the North end is too small.

The pictures shows some good sized crappie. I'm thinking that with the introduction of Muskie and the increased fishing pressure the numerous smaller crappie are being either eaten by the Muskie or eaten by fishermen. Thus the amount of food in the lake is being eaten by few fish who are growing larger. That was the IDNR fish management plan
