I take my rods rigged for long lining jigs and also my rods for cranking when I go out. If they are not hitting the crankbaits, I switch to the jigs. But,,,I have been hammering them on the cranks even with the water temps as low as 45 degrees about 3-4 weeks ago. Cold water means go slower using the crankbaits. 1.0 to 1.4 mph. Warmer water you can speed up alittle but nothing over about 1.4 to 1.7 mph. That works best for me. Change colors till find the right combo that excites them depending on your water clarity and your depth will determine where your finding the fish with your electronics.
