Great afternoon on the water with my bride (of 50+ years). Water surface temperature 54.
Decided to go to the buck brush and fish tight to it. They weren’t on the outside fringes but right in the heart of the twisted mass. First crappie was a male over 12”. Came upon a nice lay down with massive forks and pulled another 3, both male and female. Even a couple of bluegills managed to come out of that tree. Just to be out was a joy after the crappy weather we had last week. Supposed to be nice all the week so we left quite a few for our next trip.
