last couple of years, Monroe and Patoka has been high, Lemon gets muddy, but not high. Less fishermen/boaters also especially in the spring. More fish can be had in the 14” to 15” range in less time of fishing. Last year however, lots of new fishermen on Lemon as all lakes where high and unlanuchable so way more pressure on Lemon than in past. I also fish out of a 1648 jon boat, so weather will determine that morning, where I decide to fish. lemon is alittle more protected from the wind than the big lakes. Seriously, I’m getting burned out on Lemon so going to fish Patoka and Monroe more and just put up with the elements of weather as both lakes had way less fishing pressure last couple of years and I’m getting too many reports of the nice fish being caught on both. Patoka and Monroe are also, more of a challenge to fish but I know the lakes as I have fished them since the day they were both created. At 70, I need to hammer them more at the age I am,,,while I still can! Can I say that someday,,,,,I will run out of time? :Rofl Time....waits on nobody! :cheers2
