Thread: Called off again

Well I almost feel like I've beat this dead horse enough but here goes one more...got called off work today due to chance of rain (it didn't rain a drop) so I called a buddy that's on vacation this week, loaded the kayaks in my truck, stopped at the bait shop and away we went.

Same lake ive been fishing other than yesterday (2 fish total between 2 people in 4 or 5 hrs, was awful). This lake has kept me guessing quite a bit. One day minners the only thing that'll get bit. Next day jigs. Next day completely different color jigs...but that's part of the challenge I guess.

But got a late start of around 0930 or so,and was off the drink just after noon. It didn't take long to get em in the boat in my favorite cove. Buddy ain't much of a crappie man and I couldn't convince him so he fished for green carp. I ended up with another dozen in the bucket. Was a good day.


Big fish of the day. This is a good one for size of the lake. Was prolly 11 inch. Wouldve made 12 at least if his spine was straight I'd guess.
