Geist Report?

Since selling Action Fishing Trips three and a half years ago and moving to the SW coast of Florida I've probably forgotten how to catch a crappie.

But, I'll be in Indy in a week or so and may have a chance to fish Geist Reservoir. Any reports? Any recommendations for a better body of water in that area? I'm mostly interested in single-pole jigging action and it looks like there are plenty of docks to fish around. I'm hoping to get into some shallow water spawn action if the timing is right so any suggestions on where to find shallow cover would be greatly appreciated.

Geist is full of crappie and you shouldn’t have any problem catching any. Also on the west side of Indy is Eagle Creek but it’s a 10 hp limit. Good luck fishing and maybe somebody that fishes it will make a comment on Geist as I haven’t fished it in years.
