Spud bar is about 5-6’ Long with fairly sharp flat end on it for driving thru Ice.

primary use is when building pole barns or digging post holes, we used them for tamping the dirt down as well as loosening dirt at the bottom of the hole you might be digging with a post hole digger. You can find them at a Home Depot or menards hardware or any hardware for that matter. You really have to hold on to them when using on ice. They can be heavy hardened steel and slip right out of your hands when going through ice. I am pretty much done with ice fishing as we got all of 5-6 inches of snow here on top of the 4 from last Friday and now they are predicting rain and 50 degrees this weekend as this snow won’t melt quick enough so rain on top of it making this ice here super rotten and layered somewhat maybe even air in it as it trys to melt. I see our rivers flooding as the water won’t be absorbed by our frozen ground. This ground has to be frozen deep maybe 18 inches or more. Going to be a real mess as I have snow piled 3’ on sides of my drive way for more than 100 yds long.
