Since Missy is muddy i decided to go with my cousin and fish a big pond that he has permission on. He caught a 15.5 inch black last weekend and is having it mounted as it's the biggest he's ever caught. We tried yesterday and didn't do very good but today was totally different. We fished the west end with the wind howling out of the east. Anchored the boat about 20 feet out from the bank and was casting 1/32nd oz pink jig heads tipped with minnows and a bobber about 3 foot deep and letting the wind and waves drift it toward the bank. It was slab city for nearly an hour straight. We ended up with 2 fish over 14 and 6 fish at 13 inches. Several other fish in the 11-12 inch range. The biggest fish of all was lost right at the boat as my cousin got in a hurry and ended up snapping his line. This fish was easily 16 inches, a big white crappie. He was sick. Funnest day i have had in a while.
