I don't get it. Someone is trying to do something good for crappie fishing in Indiana; and, they are getting bashed for their efforts. The way I read what they are trying to do says that anyone in any club in the state can fish in the State Tournament. That means that ISM could join the Indiana Crappie Federation; and, send their best teams to the State tournament. In fact they would be warmly welcomed. ISM can still run their club anyway they want. Then at the end of the year ISM can send their teams. The ICF is not trying to control anyone. If ISM teams are the best, they will get the trophies. No one is trying to dodge them. In fact ISM members have fished in several Cataract Slab Masters tournaments. Right now it looks like there are 3 crappie clubs in Indiana. But, if someone can't fish in one of them due to their schedule, they can easily start their own club; and, fish when they want. It is hoped that more clubs will be formed; and, more areas of the state will be represented. Do your thing during the year; then, come together for one tournament to see who is the best in the state. That's the only way to see if Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday not withstanding Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday is the best. You have got to start somewhere; and, this is a start. So rather than raining on the parade, how about banding together like true sports people to see how we can get this to succeed.
