    Default Clear water help...

I have a very clear lake I am fishing and you can see a double rig spider rigging at over 12'. Seems like I can catch some on edges but when I hook up they scatter. Is there an advantage to fish at night? Jig colors?

Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

I have attempted to spider rig a clear water lake in the past without any success. I did catch some just casting smaller jigs and also used a slip bobber and minnow with some success. Night fishing i would thinkwpild be a good option for you as well. I jave one lake that is maybe moderately stained and i can get by a little bit with spider rigging it, but never had great results.

Long rod, light line, long casts. I'd probably use 1 1/2" tubes and small hair jigs. Natural colors are going to be better most of the time. If you can find shallow fish a casting bubble type float helps get the casts away from the boat.

Other thing, and I've never tried it, when be to run some boards and slow troll with whatever bait you like.
